HEALTHY BALANCE IN PRIVATE AND BUSINESS USE
Ernst & Young researched personal internet use in the workplace and found that employees surfed the internet an average of two hours per day for personal purposes. With the growing popularity of social networks such as Facebook and My Face, personal internet use is particularly high among younger employees (aged 34 years and younger). This is logical and for the majority of employers it’s not a problem, however there needs to be a healthy balance between work and private life. Prohibiting certain networks is often not an option and/or is easy to get around. That’s why we’ve created Benzoy Business, which offers a balance between facilitating and controlling. Benzoy Business is a software product that allows employees to use the internet within boundaries set by the employer. It was developed in consultation with employers from different sectors.
WHAT MAKES BENZOY BUSINESS UNIQUE:
Employer and employee agree when and for how long predetermined sites may be visited.
Example: sites like YouTube and Hyves can not be visited.
Violence, drugs, erotica, sampling, shopping: Benzoy reads and controls web page content before it is shown. Benzoy’s internet filter is the most powerful on the market.
Benzoy users can access tools like the calculator, notepad and Wikipedia at the touch of a single button. Hotlinks to business applications can be added.
Information about setting and usage in the interest of open dialogue and reaching clear agreements.
Using Benzoy Business, you can manage your employees’ various PCs from a single location: the internet. So you can log in anytime, from anywhere, in order to set preferences, check restrictions, view statistics and – when you want to – make modifications.
Questions about use of Benzoy products are thoroughly answered in our FAQ and knowledge bank.
