Healthy Internet at home The parents of today didn’t grow up with the internet. They can’t draw from their own experience the way that they can in regard to other topics. Every child is taught basic traffic safety, and has to earn one or more swimming diplomas, but they often have to find their own way around the internet. And kids as young as 6 years old are making daily use of the internet – at home, at school and now even on mobile phones. Without supervision and guidance they run the risk of internet surfing and chatting too much, too dangerously, at the wrong moment or picking up computer viruses. Concerned, expert assistance is highly valued by many parents. Benzoy Home provides that assistance, which leads to healthy internet and chat behaviour.

Benzoy Home has been developed with parents of children aged 6 years and older.

WHAT MAKES BENZOY HOME UNIQUE:

Example: on weekdays, maximum 2 hours per day surfing, gaming and (evenings only) chatting; on Saturday and Sunday four hours unrestricted internet use.

Example: two hours per day internet use, but not on YouTube, or: three hours on the internet, but no more than one half hour on Hyves.

Violence, drugs, erotica, gambling, shopping: Benzoy reads and restricts the webpage content before it is shown.

Pictures of allowed websites are shown on the child’s ‘home page’.

Benzoy users can access tools like calculator, notepad and Wikipedia at the touch of a single button.
